Josue Rivera at his home town Bo Cieneguetas, a community of approx 200 people, Vega Alta, Puerto Rico on March 25, 2018. He left Puerto Rico 11 years ago and currently lives in Florida. His family still living in Bo Cieneguetas.
Residents here have not had electricity since Hurricane Irma. Josue has sent 2 generators to his father since hurricane Maria. Cost of running a generator at night roughly costs about 200 dollars per a month.

In second photo, Josue is fixing one of the generators he has sent at his father’s house. He said it has put too many hours for a short time and is overworked.

In third photo, Josue is leaving his father’s house (not seen in photo) as his father Heriberto Rivera Sr, a school bus driver, stands at his house, seeing him off (seen in photo). His house is lit by a generator. .

April 18, 2018, Puerto Rico is experiencing another major black out. The island’s electricity has been unstable at the best since Hurricane Maria, a community like Bo Cienguetas never has their electricity.
